Term Limits

Power corrupts.

The increasing Feudalism of  our local governments and the increasing Imperialism of our national government must be met with term limits.  Omnipresent corruption in and of our government is a singular and direct result of our government’s culture of career politicians.  Career politicians protect other career politicians.  They perpetuate and exacerbate an election system that protects incumbents.  They regulate and collude with our media that creates unreasonably high barriers to entry into the public’s eye – and into the political arena.  Career politicians, above all else, protect their careers.

The only way to solve the invariable problems that follow career politicians is to force them out – with term limits.  For every good senator that is forced out of the system, ten scourges will likewise be purged – and with them, the incestuous fiefdoms of political power and malfeasance.
